Last night was an amazing evening in downtown Belleville. Dare I say it felt almost European, with some of the atmosphere of an Italian "
La Passeggiata" ? Art galleries and businesses opened their doors until 9 pm to welcome visitors to the annual Art Walk. It was a pleasant evening for folks to stroll Front St. and Bridge St., meeting artists, sharing snacks, and viewing an eclectic mix of art works.
"Fugue With Confused Square" ( 30"X40", oil/cold wax on canvas, (c) Barbara Chappelle) in situ at Gallery 121, with a few of my clay pieces.
Many new visitors came to the gallery, all expressing their enjoyment in participating in the event. Our current show will hang until Sept. 25 at 48 Bridge St. E, Belleville. Hours are Tues. - Sat. 11 am to 5 pm.
